The Mind Gig Method
This Mind Gig Method Schools Programme has been created to help children manage their own thoughts and emotions. It will teach children everything they need to be resilient in the face of life’s challenges, with a focus on building self-confidence and reassurance in order to live a happy and successful life.
The programme is written and delivered by qualified teachers, with qualifications in Psychology, Neuro-linguistic Programming, Emotional Freedom Techniques, Life Coaching, Mindfulness, Mental Health Awareness, Mental Health Care, Behaviour that Challenges and Autism Awareness.
The schools programme is proactive in that it will teach children strategies they can take with them throughout their lives, to better cope, with whatever challenges they may face. Each lesson teaches children an area of our mighty Mind Gig Method, which contains the 5 areas of Connection, Thoughts Not Facts, Self-Awareness, Growth Mindset and Mindfulness – and how if we have each of these blocks working in our lives then our mental health is more likely to be strong. We will teach children how to become strong in each of these areas, with strategies given to help them overcome whatever their challenge is. Every lesson includes tricks or tasks that the child can easily do and take with them, to use in their everyday life when they are faced with a challenge.
If we can work on children really knowing who they are, really being happy with who they are, knowing how to handle their emotions, how to have a growth mindset, how to be mindful, knowing that there is only one of them and that they are brilliant - then we will be setting them up for success throughout their lives. Imagine a world where all people are happy to be themselves and happy to see others grow! We imagine it every day!

Kate Parish
Kate is a qualified Primary School teacher, Mindfulness and Neuro-Linguistic Practitioner as well as an Emotional Freedom Technique Practitioner, trained in Understanding Mental Health, Understanding Autism, Challenging Behaviour, Life Coaching and a Growth Mindset advocate with over 20 years’ experience working within the education and training sector.
"Being a teacher has allowed me to recognise where I believe there are gaps in the development of children and this has led me down the much rewarding path of mental health. I have always been really interested in why some children and adults achieve and why others don’t and all of my wonderings have been answered when I look at mental health, self-esteem, growth mindset and mindfulness. My passion for mental health has led to me teaching Life Coaching skills and understanding that if we can work on changing our thoughts then we really can change our lives. And yes, our thoughts and life outlook can be changed!"
